ECO 4 Funding Scheme

We assist many clients with retrofit services, from assessments (including technical surveys with associated ECO qualifying evidence), to design, coordination, lodgement, and retrofit evaluation.

Helping clients process energy efficiency measures through ECO funding.

With ECO 4 now active we support our clients in offering the whole house approach required to install the appropriate viable energy-saving measures at their client’s properties.

What is ECO 4?

ECO, or Energy company obligation, is a government-led scheme aimed at helping low-income families reduce their energy bills by creating a more efficient home.

The scheme requires the big energy companies to help out by providing measures to cut the cost of energy bills. This could be done through added insulation or a more efficient boiler, for example.

If you're eligible, you could get a large chunk off the cost of insulating your home or, in some cases, even get it free!

The ECO 4 scheme has now come into play, which encompasses The Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO). This encourages energy companies to take a whole-house approach, finding multiple ways to offer customers financial savings on energy bills.

If you still aren't sure about the ECO scheme, click here to see the official Ofgem explanation.

Am I Eligible?

Currently, energy bills are sky rocketing and more families are starting to feel the pressure.

Both homeowners and tenants can be eligible for funding. You may be eligible if you match any of the following criteria...

You receive at least one of the following government benefits:

  • Child Benefit

  • Pension Guarantee Credit

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)

  • Income Support

  • Tax Credits (Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits)

  • Universal Credit

  • Housing benefit

  • Pension credit saving credit

Your local authority has funding:

Some local authorities may be able to refer their residents for funding from obligated energy suppliers so that they can be offered support under the scheme.

They may also be able to access Local Authority Flexible Eligibility grants and Health grants, which are available to those who aren't on the benefits listed above.
